About Me!

I have been using coupons, ad-matching prices, requesting samples, and more ever since I got married 13 years ago. There were times when our bargain shopping got my husband and me through very sticky financial troubles.  Now we both have professional jobs and are so busy.  But that is no reason to waste our money!!  I enjoy using coupons & shopping sales, finding discount codes & sending in rebates.  But most of all, I enjoy sharing those deals with others.   My dear husband's eyes started to glaze over one too many times when I was jubilantly telling him about what I bought at CVS and only paid 25¢......that's when I knew I needed to find another way to share my good deals!  I didn't know that other people enjoyed couponing the way that I do.  My friends sometimes teased me about it.  When I found the couponing world online, I was so excited!  I had a lot to learn, and still do.  That's what fuels my fire!  To me, God gave me this passion to help others learn how to do it, too.

I call my blog "Savings In Seconds" because it really only takes a few seconds to save a little.  Those little pennies here and there add up in a big way!   For example, you can spend a little more time planning your grocery trip and the corresponding coupons that you will use.  When it's all over, though, that planning will make the shopping go more smoothly and maximize your savings.  How much is your time worth?  Don't underestimate the power of savings with coupons!  I don't agree with "extreme" couponing; that is to say, my family doesn't have a huge stockpile stashed in the basement.  We have, however, enjoyed free (or almost free) toothpaste, dental floss, shampoo, and other toiletry items for many years.    All because of coupons!  I purchase only what we can use in a reasonable amount of time.  Personally, I don't want to be greedy just because it's free.  I want my children to grow up with a healthy respect for moderation and stewardship.  I try to model that in my shopping.

On my blog you will see many types of deals. Some are coupons that you can print or samples you can receive by mail. Others are products that I believe are worth the price.  You  might also see some links to websites that you can join.  At times, I may provide an affiliate link to certain sites that I believe you would be interested in.  Those sites may possibly offer an incentive to me that includes credit, affiliate checks or commission, reward points, products samples, coupons, etc.   I only post those sites that I think you would be interested in.  If you don't feel comfortable using my links, please feel free to directly go to the site address.

Thank you for visiting http://www.savingsinseconds.com/.  I appreciate the time you spend on my site and I hope you'll send others here.
